Two tools we built with maji: time capture and roadshow routing
Hitchcox Motorcycles
Time capture for a motorcycle workshop
We built a tool that records how long each job takes in the Hitchcox workshop. It runs on a workshop iPad.
- Capture: an operator picks who they are, the product and the step, then taps Start and Stop.
- Lost Time: operators can pause a job and log Lost Time with a reason.
- Records: each finished task writes a row to the workshop’s production planning sheet.
- Analysis: a time analysis page breaks the captured time down by product and workstation.
- Corrections: a job editor lets the team fix a record after the event.

We Buy Vintage
Routing for a national team of roadshow dealers
We Buy Vintage runs roadshow events across the UK, each staffed by its dealers. We built the tools that staff each event and propose where the team goes next.
- Rota: a solver assigns dealers to each event within the team’s rules, such as seats per event and holidays.
- Drive times: it uses real road drive times with traffic, not straight-line distance.
- Every night: it re-solves the rolling eight-week rota.
- Forward planner: it proposes where to go and who goes, for the bookers to check and book.
- Access: managers and bookers each see their own area of the site.
